Little John:
For the past month we’ve been doing a spot of barn building.
Jordan:
The weather’s been great, and we’ve almost completed the first stage of the build.
Josh:
It’s also proven to be a proper team building exercise, one of our most ambitious projects to date.
Simon:
It’s created an immensely satisfying environment where we’ve been able to pick up many skills and new experiences.
Little John:
All of us are getting much more out of this than the usual tired and aching limbs.
Simon:
We’ve used a mix of modern and traditional methods in the construction. I’ve learnt so much too. We’ve had our usual skilled professionals on hand, teaching valuable skills to us and the students as they work.
Brad:
Their patience means we’re all learning at our own pace, nobody gets forgotten or left behind.
Josh:
The results are staggering. We all feel a massive sense of achievement.
Little John:
It’s been a steep learning curve where we’ve been a part of every stage. Right from the cutting down of the trees to turning into planks, before finally joining the wooden structure - just like Lego!
Brad:
As sturdy and strong as the trees it was made from!
Simon:
Get some rest boys and get ready to move onto the next one!
